How do you know if your pet needs a rehabilitative massage?
If your pet has a hard time going up and down stairs, pet massage will help. And it will help if your dog or cat has allergies to medicines that are needed to treat the symptoms. Pet massage will be a natural way to treat the problem, especially if they have a sensitive stomach. You may want to try it if your pet’s legs are weak from hip dysphasia or arthritis.
Jessica brings about oxygenated blood to promote regeneration to the muscles. Another key element is to open up the joints to relieve pressure that may cause pain. She practices Acupressure, Reiki, Swedish, Oscillation, and Trigger Points. She recommends 1 session with your pet on a weekly basis depending on the situation and the veterinarian recommendation.
Jessica studied Massage Therapy for people in California. Completing two massage certificates, and overshooting the California standard of licensing requirement, she has become an example of someone who has high expectations and finds great satisfaction in helping others. She worked on humans for 2 years before studying pet massage, so she understands from feedback and experience what works best for all sorts of muscle pains and problems. “Animals experience the same knots, pinched nerves, muscle tension and disease that we do!”
Jessica started practicing Pet Massage to create a loving alternative to medicine for injured, lame, post-surgery etc, cats and dogs. Most recently her own cat Madelynn had kidney failure. The veterinarian was able to bring here back to life from this critical state. Jessica followed all of the veterinarian’s advice for after care to keep Madelynn stabilized. This cat was experiencing pain and is not allowed to take pain medication because it would hurt her kidneys. The vet agreed that pet massage was the only way to treat her for the aches. When Jessica brought Madelynn in for a follow-up one month later, Madelynns blood work revealed numbers that were much better then the Veterinarian even expected.
